Backcountry Bowhunter

Don't wait until you retire to go hunting and fishing. Don't even wait for your annual vacation. Go at every opportunity. Things that appear urgent at the moment may, in the long run, turn out to be far less so. -Ted Trueblood

12,000 year old fishing gear

Now thats bushcraft!

People are discovering antique fishing tackle all the time, in closets and at garage sales, but none of that compares to discoveries made recently by archaeologists at two of the Channel Islands off Southern California.

My photo

Boise, ID, United States
34 year old once a Marine, always a Marine. I am a nurse, and, as you might have guessed, I enjoy the outdoors. I am a part time bowyer, knife builder, full time tinkerer, part time beer brewer... with a past history of adventure, a future of X (unknown quantities), a lovely, understanding (mostly) wife, a young son, (and another bun in the oven) and no dog.
